Don't expect exotic food and you won't be disappointed. Great value with 2 for 1. Always busy and booking advised. Service can be a little slow at busy times.
The food is good pub grub...not fine dining if that's what you want. But Simon the landlord is a rare diamond to find, who runs with brilliant speed and quality of the kitchen, bar, restaurant whilst tending to each and every customers needs. He made it great! Can't wait to go back.
Went here for our Christmas meal which this year was a breakfast, buffet style and you could go up as many times as you liked. Food was good except there was no hash browns or black pudding, so sausage bacon eggs (scrambled) beans mushrooms and toast, the sausages were lovely. Only down side was the coffee yukky is being polite.
Visited in November on Sunday afternoon. Welcome greeting and then seated as soon as table was cleaned. Staff were helpful. Good menu and we all opted for carvery- 3 meat and 1 veggie. The food was good with a choice of 3 meats. Vegetables were cooked and piping hot. Very good value for money.
We went on a Tuesday evening and it was quiet. It's very clean and all the staff were polite and helpful. The food was 2 for 1 which was great value. Hubby had the rump steak and I had salmon, both were tasty and were served in a reasonable amount of time. Great value for money. Would recommend.
