Very nice bar/pub, they brew there own proper ale which is very good and if you are an ale drinker, you will not find a pub with a wider variety of ales in Dorchester (to my knowledge). It is however quite expensive hence I can only award 3 stars. Try the Convivial Rabbit (micro bar although it's moved to bigger premises since opening, near Argos) for a smaller but equally tasty range of real ale. :-)
Had an hour and 10 minute wait for the starters which were cold by the time they came out. No apologies for the wait from the staff and my burger tasted like a generic frozen burger for a BBQ.
Excellent pub in Dorcester with a wide variety of Ales on tap. I especially liked the 3x 1/3 pint taster option which is rather novel and very reasonably priced. My favourite was the Gamma Ray pale ale. Very smooth and fruity.
Love it. Really nice environment to get a couple/10 drinks in ya face. Great selection of beer and an amazing open fire. The food is alright but I'm only really interested in the beers oh and the live bands!
Food took ages despite being quiet. My husband's burger looked like half was missing..my salad was more like a side salad and 2.50 extra for 4 pieces of burnt chicken was extortionate! We had 4 meals put on table with no cutlery.. no offer of any other condiments.. our friends had to go back to bar and ask for their drinks.. such a shame as looked like a lovely place
