It's a real ale micropub. Music events do occur and the range of beer changes weekly. Can be quiet but it's a stand out place for Dorchester.
Good Micro pub.Found the pub while down in Dorchester for a beer festival. Had seen some photos and read a few reviews. Nice layout good selection of ales on to cover all tastes. Also some canned ales to take away. Handy for me as I had a party the next night.
Fantastic micropub with great variety of ales on gravity dispense. The can selection in the fridge is also very good. Great prices.
Great beers and people. You can order pizza from the place across the alley and eat it in the pub. A must visit.
The Convivial Rabbit is a micro pub that has expanded (due to popularity) next door to their original location (v Close to Argos in Dorchester down a little alley; keep your eyes peeled for their sign) ) sells amazing proper beer, very friendly staff and is to be highly recommended if you like real ale. They also sell Fordington Gin (local), which, if you are a Gin fan, is probably one of the best Gins in the world (no joke, it has to be experienced to be appreciated!). My favorite micro pub in the UK.
