We had planned a quick visit. But we found there was much more to see than we anticipated. They have a particularly large collection of medals if that is your thing. Good views from the roof, but access was limited due to the lift being out of order. Good parking g in the adjacent town car park.

A great day, so many exhibits and information, you can dress up, and pick up and handle the rifles and guns. And you can go up on the roof and take in the brilliant view, you can see for miles.
Full of military items of various periods. Has a great personal touch with knowing these are items from soldiers. Lovely building. Be warned if the lift doesn't work - like on the day we visited - the spiral stairs can be challenging for those not so steady on their feet.
I took my 12 yr old son here today we just had to pay for mum and I as children are free during the holidays.we all thoroughly enjoyed it and in my son's words "it was amazing"holding the weapons and dressing in the gear that soldiers wore was his favourite.We recommend it.
