Excellent place to visit my grandsons were in wonderment looking round the different ways it was set out for different conflicts a must to see if on holiday
This is more than just a musium it's an education centre of exelence for the young and old well worth a visit.
Visited many years ago as a child and loved my visit. Took my daughter there as she is into history. Was disappointed to find I'd been charged full price even though it should have been half price. The museum itself was in the process of packing exhibits up in preparation for it's two year closure for major refurbishment. Though what I saw was interesting, the main reason for my visit had already been mostly packed away. Will probably visit when it reopens in 2020.
My wife and I took our 11 year old soon and 7 year old daughter her whilst we were on holiday. We really enjoyed it. Kids loved it.
Staff were incredibly helpful, especially as we had a wheelchair user in the party. Exhibits were well presented throughout. A great County museum, with something everyone. Looking forward to seeing new exhibition on ancient history and evidence from the Roman site being excavated in public.
