My kids have loved this place for years. Dorchester make good use of it for entertainment, and its well maintained.
A classic, small town, public open space with well-tended flower beds, a tiered marble fountain and a grand tower clock. A small refreshments kiosk in the grounds will slake your thirst or hunger whilst you scoff your ice cream or slurp your tea al fresco.
Hard to get to but once you are there it's lovely. 2 tree lined pedestrian only avenues running parallel and perpendicular to access gardens. Colourful rotunda is central and children's playground at one end and tennis courts at the other.

Great in every aspect, nice play area and very well maintained beds and grassed areas. Toilets and a cafe in the summer. If you fancy a relaxing time or a go on the swings you will enjoy it here
