In my house repairs have been made by third party companies and Magnas own in house team, they seem to have used the cheapest possible parts available. For example, a double glazed unit was replaced due to misting between the panes only to be replaced by a unit that completely fogged up in the winter but the other original unit in the same room inches away doesn't. How about the ceiling extractor fan that was replaced in the bathroom with the wrong type, the replacement had a pull cord, so as you walked into the room it dangled into your face. Also the kitchen units and doors in my home have damaged by the previous Tennant's water leak from upstairs that has cause bubbling on the chipboard and they won't change it. On a separate occasion, two paving slabs in the garden were loose and two different workmen came three times in all, but they were still loose so I went to buy some sand and cement to sort out the problem myself.... Bingo, sorted first time. Of course I am very grateful to be in social housing but I really do think that more could be done in maintenance and repairs of their own properties.
I agree with the above comments. Magna is not even good on small repairs. It took 3 electricians to get hot water from my hot water tank. And when it comes to damp and mould, they could not care less. Always promising to do things but never keep them. Very good at trying to fob tenants off, though
A poor joke. Magna seem happy to let their property deteriorate.
