Made an appointment for 3 puppies to have their first vaccination. The vet made it clear that he was required by law to microchip all puppies at 8 weeks. I said that i couldn't afford it right now and that, in my opinion it was not in the puppies' best interest to have a huge needle unnecessarily jammed into their backs, and that I planned to have it done when they had new owners to avoid their paying the transfer fee unecessarily. The vet was only concerned with his reputation and not my puppies' pain. He made it clear he would refuse to do the vaccinations if I wouldn't have them microchipped at the same time and registered to me. So I reluctantly agreed. When I checked the microchip database I couldn't access the puppies' records. They had registered the microchips at the wrong address and I had to pay another 10 to Petlog to have them changed into the right address. I am now 40 in debt and stressed and annoyed at being forced by the vet's lack of consideration for my financial situation and my puppies' welfare to spend hours sorting out their mistake.
The best vets I have used for many years. The vets are thorough and friendly whilst the reception staff are simply the best. I won't be going to another vet practice.
Used one in Poole and brilliant service.. this one is all about the money not the animals.. charge same price no matter how many prescriptions when others charge one price or reduce price for 2nd etc.. Told I had a pet plan not ever heard off which millions of people have and pay out no problems.. it was to get me to switch to the one they have. The male vet just don't listen and didn't deal with the problem so had to return for another visit and more money. Left and 100 % better service at new vets. They look after charities as well so shows they are not just after money.
The vets are really friendly and calming for my cat. I pay 10 a month and this pays for a check every year, flea and worming treatment and discount off any treatment. She had an operation to remove a couple of teeth and the treatment was excellent and i felt reassured by their ability. All the staff there are really helpful and they are open 7 days a week which is really helpful.I would recommend them.
Having been with my previous vet and all it's predecessors for over 30 years, I found myself in the situation where I was not happy with the service given to one of my many pets. I therefore transferred all my pets over to Vets4Pets and have used both the Dorchester and Weymouth branches. What impresses me is the in-depth conversations, knowledge, professionalism and compassion that is given to each situation, the friendly staff from reception, nurses to the vets and the modern premises.I would highly recommend them to anyone who has any qualms about their current vet, or who are seeking a vet for their animals.
