Unmanned station on the Heart of Wessex Railway line between Bristol Temple meads and Weymouth (87 miles long), and known very much as the "Cinderella Line" - with 8 trains a day in each direction and a better service now on SundaysBeing unmanned means that there is not even a ticket machine - so buy your ticket on the train unless you have pre-purchased it (have it sent to you by post or on your phone or collect at any manned station - the machine telling you about next train might or might not be working - this station is run currently by GWRIf you want a regular service to Weymouth use Dorchester South (run by SWT - a 10 - 15 minute walk away and is signposted It is a very clean station now and this is done by a team of regular volunteers on a regular basis (see posters at the station)
