Another evening spent at this glorious hotel with the outside building festooned with thousands of gold lights. The staff are second to none and we had wonderful meal.

We have just come back from an amazing 1 night stay here. I can honestly fault nothing. We loved the staff, the food, the attention to detail and decor throughout (loved the Christmas puddings in the garden!). On arrival it was raining heavily, so they handed us umbrellas and showed us to our room. From the large comfy bed to the delicious shortbread, our room was just perfect! After settling in, we enjoyed G&T's and freshly made salmon sandwiches in the drawing room by the fire, and then made our way to the Spa for a Jacuzzi, use of the indoor pool, sauna and treatments. Sophie and Rosemary performed incredible massages, some of the best we have ever had! Our evening meal was 'fine dining' but not pretentious, just wonderful, thoughtful creations enjoyed with a lovely bottle of red wine. We finished off with a sumptuous cheese and cracker selection served from their magnificent cheese trolly. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and served by lovely, happy, competent staff. This hotel is a dream, so clean and warm, with wonderful gardens and a great Spa. It was decorated for Christmas inside and out, both tastefully and magically! On our way to the car we noticed they have tennis courts for those wanting to take some exercise whilst there, and the hotel is also dog friendly.Evershot is beautiful in itself, and with The Acorn pub and restaurant also extremely close (also owned by the hotel), this place really does have it all for a wonderful and relaxing break. There are also many walks you can take, and the hotel staff can help with leaflets and directions. We found it very hard to leave and will find it extremely easy to go back!..literally can't wait! Thankyou!

Impeccable service with lovely views and room. an amazing restaurant with local produce from the south west of England.

I spent a lovely night here for my wedding anniversary in September. Our room was pleasant as were all the staff, but it was next to a school and the children waiting for their bus and lifts were very noisy. Once they had gone then it was peaceful. The grounds are very relaxing and well kept. I used the swimming pool which was warm. The village of Evershot is small but attractive and historical in Thomas Hardy literature.

Beautiful hotel. Delicious afternoon tea and such sumptuous surroundings
