If you are an expat living in Spain or any other country for that matter then this solicitor is the one for you. We were given this companies details by an online brokerage company. We live in Spain and required a remortgage and a transfer of equity on a property we had in the UK allowing us to purchase a house in Callosa. Given that there are a number of difficulties trying to complete everything via email and phone, I found this company and especially our case holder Catherine very very helpful. She delivered the fund's within three weeks which was critical as once you have agreed a completion date in Spain, if you go beyond that date the vender has the right to keep your deposit which in our case was 10.000. We saved over a 1000 by choosing to go with this company rather than the building societies approved solicitor. I highly recommend using this company.
Only put a star because I had to. Receptionists have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I never spoke to my solicitor, I once rang 50 times in a day and got through once only for them to tell me that no one was available to take my call. I wanted to make a complaint and they said the person that I needed to speak to wasnt available, so they tried to put me through to the director and neither was he. I then spoke to some lady who told me she could only take a message in which I did and NEVER got a reply. Dont use

Really wish I could put no stars, BPL have been one of the worst solicitors I have ever dealt with , please don't waste your TIME and MONEY with these people. they would never answer my calls, never call me back and when the property was due to exchange they acted as though it wasn't important to get exchanged because the completion date wasn't for a couple of weeks! when getting exchanged is the most important thing when selling you need the commitment from your buyer.
Absolutely useless so far. No stars would be more appropriate. They are not my solicitors but my seller's. They so far have been taking forever to respond to my solicitor's correspondence. But this is not the main problem. They have done an absolutely piss poor job checking the seller's information. For example, even though the seller informed them that the house was recently inherited and gave them a copy of the probate with the names of two executors, they only included one of the executors in the contract and did not inform my solicitor about the probate. That would not be a major issue if it didn't take them an average of 3-4 weeks between each letter. For example when they were queried about the difference in the names between the titles and the contract they took 15 days to respond. So first they make mistakes in checking the documents they receive and compiling their reports, then when these mistakes are being pointed out to them, it takes them ages to even tell their client about it. Oh and they never respond to the messages of the seller (I have direct contact with the seller thank God). Avoid avoid avoid.
